Update on Unilag DLI Part-Time Form 2025/2026

Currently, the University of Lagos Distance Learning Programme Part Time Application Form for 2024/2025 is closed. The University of Lagos DLI Part Form for 2025/2026 session is likely to be re-opened July 15th, 2025. Admission to the Unilag DLI Programme does not need an examination. The lecture days for the Unilag DLI Program are only on Saturday (Weekend). For the time being, the Unilag DLI Program does not hold classes on Sunday. UNILAG DLI WEEKEND PROGRAMME is a five-year BSc. degree that is solely offered on weekends (Saturday), allowing students to work and attend school while also allowing for straight entry into advanced level.

Anyone with five O/Level credits can apply. Unilag DLI Part Time accepts two O/Level sittings, which can be a combination of (WAEC & NECO) or (WAEC & WAEC) or (NECO & NECO). For the time being, the Unilag DLI Program does not accept installment payments. Unilag DLI Programme Course is a part-time program suitable for working-class individuals. The Unilag DLI application form costs only 18,500, excluding bank charges. Unilag DLI lectures take place in the school premise and it every Saturday (sometimes two or three Saturdays in a Month). Unilag DLI payment is yearly (per session). Unilag DLI Programme School Fees is about N250,000 to N300,000 per year.

There is no entrance exam; you can purchase the form here at Unilag. Do not let anyone tell you that there will be an entrance exam, or that you must purchase past questions for the program. If you are interested, or if you have a friend or family member who would like to obtain the form, please contact me so that I can walk you through the process. I also do online registration, after purchasing the form here in Unilag, and will also give you more information on how to obtain the DLI form.

We will assist you in generating the reference pin to be used for registration; however, you will be responsible for making the form payment at the bank; however, for those who are extremely busy, we have a special arrangement in place that allows the form to be registered without your presence; however, please be aware that this attracts or incurs an additional charge call (Call 08035931806).Also for proxy registration.

NOTE: When applying for the UNILAG DLI PART TIME PROGRAMME, an aspiring student must be at least 16 years old.

Unilag DLI GENERAL Registration Requirements are;

1. O/Level Certificate e.g WAEC, NECO/GCE
2. Birth Certificate/Sworn Affidavit
3. Testimonial and not Statement of Result
4. ICAN, OND, HND, NCE Certificate
5. NYSC Certificate
6. Marriage Certificate (married Women only)
7. Newspaper advert (Married Women and for those who has changed their names
8. Note DLI does not take NABTEB as at this year

FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

Are you a holder of ICAN, NCE, OND and HND? Then know you are already two or three step ahead of others, with your ICAN you get to start from 300 level, NCE you get to start from 200 or 300 level as the course may determine, OND holders are likely to start 200 level while HND will definitely starts from 300 level.

Note: that your course of intended studies in dli unilag must be related to what you read at your NCE,OND and HND level e.g someone who read library studies putting in for dli DE public administration, that is a totally wrong combination.

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Candidates seeking admission to DLI must meet the minimum entry requirements of Five (5) Credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB/NECO O’Level or its equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics, taken at not more than two (2) sittings.

2.2 Candidate must be at least 18 years of age as at October 31st, 2024.

2.3 Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

3.0 SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Year One Accounting

In addition to the general entry requirements, the Five (5) Credits must be in relevant subjects (Accounting, Economics, and Commerce)

3.2 Year Two Accounting

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The National Diploma (ND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Accounting and other related fields.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

Recognized professional qualification AAT (ICAN).

3.3 Year Three Accounting

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, ACMA.

4.0 Year One Business Administration

Same as for Accounting Year One

4.1 Year Two Business Administration

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:
The National Diploma (ND) in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other relevant discipline.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

4.2 Year Three Business Administration

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The Higher National Diploma (HND) Business Administration, Business Management, Insurance, Marketing and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

(iii) Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACIS, ACIB.

5.0 Year One Economics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Economics.

Year Two Economics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

(i) The National Diploma (ND) in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer and Actuarial Science and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

(ii) The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Banking and Finance, Insurance, Statistics, Mathematics/ Computer, Actuarial Science and other related fields.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

Recognized professional qualifications, such as ACIS, ACIB.

6.0 Year One Public Administration

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Five (5) Credits in relevant subjects, including Government.

Year Two Public Administration

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The National Diploma (ND) in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields with a minimum overall grade of Upper Credit.

The Higher National Diploma (HND) Lower Credit in Public Administration, Secretarial Administration and other related fields

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

Recognized professional qualification, such as ACIS, ACIB.

7.0 Year One Education Biology

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

SSCE/WASSCE/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other subjects;

Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other science subjects.

Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

7.1 Year Two Education Biology

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.

The National Diploma (ND) in relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with at least Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

Year Three Education Biology

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

8.0 Year One Education Chemistry

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

SSCE/WASSC/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or its equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subjects;

Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subjects.

Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

8.1 Year Two Education Chemistry

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with minimum of Three (3) Merit grades in relevant teaching subjects.

The National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field with a minimum of Upper Credit.

The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

GCE ‘A’ Level with Credit grades in Three (3) relevant subjects.

8.2 Year Three Education Chemistry

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

9.0 Year One Education Physics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

SSCE/WASSCE/GCE (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or its equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subjects;

Year Two Education Physics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

9.2 Year Three Education Physics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

10.0 Year One Education Mathematics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

SSCE/WASSC/General Certificate of Education (Ordinary level), NABTEB, NECO or its equivalent with Credits in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other relevant subjects;

Teacher’s Grade II Certificate with Merit in Five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other relevant subjects.

Any other equivalent qualifications approved by the University Senate.

10.1 Year Two Education Mathematics

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess ONE of the following:

In addition to the general entry requirements, the candidate must possess the Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of pass in a relevant discipline obtained from a recognized University.

JAMB REGISTRATION IS COMPULSORY FOR DLI APPLICANTS

It is now compulsory for every students putting in for the Distance Learning Part Time to include in their registration (JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBER.). Failure to comply with the new directives may lead to no Admission.

Applicant for Distance Learning Institution Programmes are hereby advised that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) instructed candidates to attend the JAMB Facilities through the certified center to allow them to review and present the request documents on the website of Distance Learning Institute (DLI).
